Increased presence in Asia:
LOYTEC sets up a foreign base in Taiwan
With the foundation of LOYTEC Asia Corporation Ltd., LOYTEC increases its presence in the Asian market.
LOYTEC Asia emphasizes sales and technical support of LOYTEC products on the Asian continent. An optimal strategic location was chosen with Taipei, Taiwan, as the company's headquarters.
The high-tech country Taiwan provides excellent business premises and is highly focused on export. Besides the native language Chinese, the employees of LOYTEC Asia are also capable of the English and Japanese language.
Located in the middle of the booming Asian market, LOYTEC Asia is also able to serve the Australian continent. Western Australia is situated in the same time zone as Taiwan. Taiwan maintains perfect business relations with its neighboring country China. That is why LOYTEC Asia uses Taipei also as a springboard for business deals in China.
"With LOYTEC Asia Corporation Inc., LOYTEC has the chance of participating in the largest and fastest growing market of building automation. With this step, we emphasize the importance of our existing Asian customers and we will take this opportunity to further grow in both Asia and Australia", Hans-Jörg Schweinzer, managing director of LOYTEC electronics GmbH is convinced.

LOYTEC Technology...
saves money and protects the environment
The LOYTEC systems integrator Calon in cooperation with Building Environment Controls integrated a modern DALI lighting system with constant light control and occupancy detection in the Manchester Airport, terminal 2.
The lighting system is integrated in the airport's BMS and flight control systems via BACnet. This allows automatic configuration at each gate according to the flight departure and arrival schedules, time of day, and ambient light level.
The integral solution includes the following features:
- Daylight and occupancy based lighting control
- Connection to the airport's "Flight Information System": The information regarding occupied gates is sent to the DALI lighting system. The set point is raised for occupied gates whereas it is lowered for currently unused gates.
- "Maintenance-free" due to the use of LED technology
The new and more efficient luminaires allow replacement savings of approximately 2,000 MWh annually. In addition, 1,000 MWh can be saved because of the automatic control functions of the installed lighting system.
Projects for lighting control of the public areas of Terminals 1 & 3 are already in the planning stage.
