Buildings can be accessed form a PC or Smartphone to view energy consuption or control sunblinds, heating, lighting or even household applicances.

With L-WEB automation space control can be utilized with a view to energy-optimized operation. Office, schools and other buildings benefit from making comfort adjustments individually or by building supervisors. This control can be individual or for campus wide installations. So, even from a centrally located monitoring center you can "adjust the temperature or turn off the light" explains CTO Dr. Dietmar Loy. "The goal is not only increased comfort, but the reduced energy costs by up to 30% which improves the CO2 balance sheet".
"With L-WEB the complete buiding status for access control, lighting schedules and blind control can be shown. This includes also alarms like fire, water leak, high energy consumption, open windows/doors, etc. And all this is shown in real time on your PC or your Smartphone", adds CEO Hans-Joerg Schweinzer.
The savings can be realized in a short time, as established by the study "Investigation of energy saving potentials through the use of integrated building automization of open systems based on the analysis of DIN V 18599 and prEN 15,232" (Prof. Dr. Martin Becker, DI Peter FH Knoll, Hochschule Biberach, 2007) demonstrated.
For example, the electrical savings from lighting can be up to 60%, air conditioning 40%, and heating savings of up to 25%. For schools, savings of up to 50% in lighting energy, which in turn accounts for 30% of heat energy generated in schools. (LonMark Magazine Germany, June 2009).
