L-VIS Touch Panel Room Edition for CEA-709
Configuration with the L-VIS/L-WEB Configurator
The L-VIS/l-WEB Configurator supplied with the unit guarantees straight-forward configuration of all the L-VIS models. An object-oriented configuration of the graphical interface and pre-defined functions simplify creating easy-to-use menu layouts and graphical pages. The copy and paste function allows reusing already created elements and the WYSIWYG preview helps reducing engineering efforts. German, English, French and Japanese versions of the L-VIS Configuration Tool are available. The configuration can be downloaded into and uploaded from the L-VIS. The L-VIS can be configured through LNS® (LNS® Plug-In), via FTP, or a CEA-709 connection (TP/FT-10 or IP-852 channel).

Menus
The graphical interface can easily be designed for intuitive navigation. To navigate through the content of the L-VIS, two options are available: menus and icons. A menu is automatically created while setting up the structure and hierarchy of the content. To customize the menu, fonts, and colors can be changed. Additionally, a bitmap can be assigned to every menu item.
Individual navigation through the content of the L-VIS can also be setup by placing bitmap icons on the pages and linking them to designated pages.
Languages and Font Types
The L-VIS Configurator is shipped with a set of selected freeware PCF fonts to cover Western (ISO8859), CJK (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) and also Unicode (UCS16) character sets. This allows using L-VIS anywhere in the world. To extend the available choices of fonts, the L-VIS Configuration Tool allows loading fonts in most common formats, including TrueType, Type1, BDF, PCF and others.
Graphical Pages
Graphical pages can easily be adapted by using customized images or graphics in common file formats such as JPG, BMP, TIF, and even animated GIF. A collection of various icons in different sizes is installed with the L-VIS Configuration Tool. Any Information can be displayed in various ways. Dynamic information is shown in the form of numeric values, changing icons, bar graphs or text. Up to 15 access levels are available to protect pages and data points from unauthorized access. Pages with dynamic values and states can be copied via copy-and-paste including the linked data points. The data points can then easily be reassigned and renamed respectively by using the Datapoint Manager included in the L-VIS/L-WEB Configuration Tool.
