Automation Functions

L-VIS supports automation functions such as alarming, scheduling, and trending (AST™).

Alarming

L-VIS provides functionality to generate, deliver, acknowledge, and display alarm conditions and logs. Here L-VIS can act as a local Alarm-Server supervising input and output data points. Alarms are set in case of an active alarm condition for a value or status. Alarm conditions are defined by the user and provided to other devices in the network. As an alarm client, L-VIS is accessing alarm server objects on remote devices to display the conditions on its display.

Scheduling

This includes a local scheduling service as well as the possibility to configure several local and remote 24-hour schedulers through display elements. Thus, L-VIS has the capacity to run local schedule services or to interact with other L-VIS devices to change scheduling parameters from a central location.

Trending

The trending capability includes trend graphs, a data log of values and time stamps. Logged information is available for third party applications via FTP download of CSV files.
