LINX-200 Automation Server BACnet
Installation Workflow
The following software tools are needed to configure the LINX-200 and LINX-201 Automation Server and to create LWEB-800 projects:
1. Installation
Make sure that you use the latest version of the software tools and firmware.
PC software and firmware for the LINX-200 and LINX-201 Automation Server can be found in the support section. Latest Fimware: LINX-20x Firmware
2. Data Point Configuration
Define the data points from the different communication technologies with the L-INX 100/200 Configurator needed for the project. By default data points are mapped automatically to OPC data points and available via OPC XML-DA.
3. Graphic Design with L-VIS/L-WEB Configurator
The L-VIS/L-WEB Configurator is started from L-INX Configurator. The L-VIS/L-WEB Configurator is used to design customized graphis for creating a user interface.
4. Configuration and Graphic Download
The defined data points and the graphical projects are downloaded to the L-INX Automation Server at once.
5. LWEB-800 Installation
Installation of the LWEB-800 application can be initialized via the LOYTEC website or the web UI of the L-INX Automation Server. An Internet/Intranet connection must be available. This way the latest version of LWEB-800 will be installed. An executable file can be downloaded from our website for an offline installation.
6. Visualization
Running LWEB-800 the first time on a Windows PC or Windows Mobile it uploads the L-WEB configuration with its customized graphics. Web services (OPC XML-DA) is used for data point updates.
7. More Options
7.1. Long-Term Storage with LWEB-801 Server
The memory to store data on the L-INX Automation Server is limited. With LWEB-801 offers LOYTEC a solution for long-term data storage. The LWEB-801 Server will be installed on a MS Windows based desktop PC or network server and can access an existing SQL database. Optional a SQL database can be installed with the LWEB-801 Server at the same time. All connected LINX-100/101/200/201 Automation Servers must be reachable via an IP connection.
7.2. OPC Access — Connection to SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) or DCS (Distributed Control Systems)
SCADA or DCS systems can access data points on the L-INX Automation Servers via OPC XML-DA. An OPC bridge software (LOPC-BR800) is available to provide data to SCADA or DCS systems supporting OPC DA (COM/DCOM) only.
