DALI Occupancy Sensors and Light Sensors

L-DALI supports the integration and use of DALI Multi Sensors, Occupancy Sensors, and Light Sensors.

DALI Installation and Configuration

The DALI network can either be commissioned by using the L-DALI Configuration Tool executed as an LNS® Plug-in, as a Standalone Tool (offline/online), or directly through the comfortable Web interface of the L-DALI controller.

Support for burning-in lamps

Depending on the manufacturer and model, new fluorescent lamps may not be dimmed for a runtime of typically 100 hours to achieve the full life cycle.

This time (burn-in period) can be configured on the L-DALI device for every DALI ballast connected. Configuration and activation is done via CEA-709 network variables or via the Web interface.

Emergency Lighting - Function Test

Lamps belonging to an Emergency Lighting System need to be checked periodically. The L-DALI controller tests the system by checking whether the emergency lighting is dimmed in a particular state during a power outage. All results are written to a log file.

Data Logging

Runtime and energy consumption of each DALI balast can be logged and recorded for analyzing and long-term storage purposes.

With the help of the AST™ functions (alarming, scheduling, trending) substantial automation functions can be realized.
