L-DALI controllers seamlessly integrate DALI lighting solutions in LonMark systems using TP/FT-10 or Ethernet/IP (IP-852) channels. DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is part of the IEC 60929 standard. It is used to dim and switch luminaires from most of the leading European manufacturers. DALI also supports devices like multisensors(e.g. for brightness, movement, temperature, etc.)and intelligent switches.

The product range of L-DALI controllers for LonMark systems support 1, 2 or 4 independent DALI channels. Up to 64 DALI luminaires can be controlled or monitored individually or by up to 16 groups per channel. All luminaires are monitored for defective lamps. L-DALI can provide this information to the Building Management System (BMS) through its CEA-709 interface. On the CEA-709 side, L-DALI supports Ethernet/IP (IP-852) or TP/FT-10. LDALI-3E101, LDALI-3E102 and 3E104-LDALI Controller are as well gateways connecting DALI networks to CEA-709 networks.

The L-DALI controller represents a DALI-Master in the DALI network. In the CEA-709 network L-DALI provides an NV-Interface. Ballasts and other DALI devices can be addressed via the provided network variables.

Features:

  • Fully compliant with CEA-709, CEA-852, and EN 14908
  • Control DALI capable ballasts via NVs

  • 159x100x65 (L x W x H in mm) i.e. 9 TE
  • DIN-rail mountable

In addition to the gateway function L-DALI controller can take control tasks. The built-in Sunblind Controller(LonMark Functional Profile #6111) can directly control sunblind actuators in the CEA-709 network. The Constant Light Controller(LonMark Functional Profile #3050) can control DALI ballasts as well as CEA-709 nodes for lighting tasks. Interaction between the Sunblind Controller and the Constant Light Controller provides best possible energy efficiency by integrationg the sunblinds in the constant light control functionality.

L-DALI supports the automation functions alarming, scheduling, and trending (AST™). This includes a local scheduling service as well as the possibility to configure several local and remote 24 hour schedulers through the Web interface.

Alarming includes functionality to generate, deliver, acknowledge, and display alarm conditions, regardless of whether alarms occur in the DALI or CEA-709 network. The trending capability includes a periodical or event-driven logging of values with time stamps. Logged events and trend data are stored on the L-DALI device and can be exported with CSV files from the device via an FTP connection.

L-DALI features event-driven e-mail notification as a result of a predefined action triggered by a specific status or an exceeded high limit.

E-mail notification can as well be used to forwarded event and trend data as e-mail attachments (CSV files) for long term storage to a central SQL database (see LWEB-801).

Furthermore L-DALI supports common mathematical operations and functions, as well as Boolean expressions.

L-DALI does not necessarily need to be connected to a CEA-709 network. The built-in Constant Light Controller in combination with the supported automation functions (alarming, scheduling, trending) allow to use the L-DALI controller also as a stand-alone device in a DALI network. Parameters can be set and the system status can be read via an IP connection. The entire configuration is done via the built-in Web server. Thus commissioning and maintenance of the DALI system can be done via a standard Web browser from any PC. Device configuration can also be done through the user-friendly configuration software or the device console.

LDALI-3E101 provides one, LDALI-3E102 two, and LDALI-3E104 four independent DALI channels. Up to 64 DALI-based luminaries can be controlled individually or via 16 groups per DALI channel.

A power supply like the LDALI-PWR4-230 is needed to power the DALI network.
